Pro Tree Service works across the Chicago southland, the western suburbs, and northwest Indiana. Our yard is in Mokena, in Will County, and our crews run out of it every day into four Illinois counties and across the state line. We handle tree removal, trimming and pruning, stump grinding, land and lot clearing, and storm response.
Estimates are free and we schedule them any day of the week. If your town is not listed below, call anyway. We will tell you straight away whether we reach you.
Illinois
We also work in Bartlett, Elgin, and the Fox Valley and Aurora corridor at the western edge of our range.
Northwest Indiana
Our Indiana work runs through Lake and Porter counties. See our northwest Indiana service area for the full picture.

How Distance Affects a Job
Drive time is real, and we do not pretend otherwise. A crew working Mokena or New Lenox can often fit a small job in the same week. Work at the far edges of our range gets scheduled in blocks, so we run several jobs in one area on the same day.
That matters most after storms. When a wind or ice event hits one part of the region, we stage crews there rather than spreading thin. We will tell you honestly where you sit in the queue rather than promise a time we cannot meet.
Two States, Two Sets of Rules
Illinois and Indiana municipalities each set their own requirements for tree contractors, and they vary town to town. Depending on the address, a job may need contractor registration with the municipality, a permit for work on right-of-way trees, a surety bond on file, or a certificate of insurance naming the town.
You do not need to work out which applies. Give us the address and describe the job, and we will tell you what that municipality requires before we start. We can issue a certificate of insurance naming a property owner, a management company, or a municipality, usually the same day.
Trees on the parkway strip between the sidewalk and the street generally belong to the municipality rather than the adjacent owner. If you are not sure whether a tree is yours, tell us where it sits relative to the sidewalk. We will tell you before you spend money on it.
Who We Work For
Homeowners make up most of what we do. We also work for property managers, homeowner associations, commercial and industrial sites, and municipalities. For that work we carry the bonding, registrations, and insurance documentation each jurisdiction requires. If you need certificates or bond confirmation for a bid package, ask and we will send them.
Request an Estimate
Tell us the address and what you are looking at. A leaning trunk, limbs over a roof, a dead ash, a lot that needs clearing, storm damage. We will come out, look at it, and give you a written price. The estimate carries no charge and no obligation.
