Two village pages disagree on the size of the inventory. One says approximately 16,500 village-owned trees, while another says over 17,000. The trim cycle appears both as five to seven years and as every four to seven. Tree City USA participation is stated as 26 consecutive years, though the county annex dates it to 1992. What all of that adds up to is a public canopy dominated by a young replacement cohort. Thousands of trees went in within a few years of each other. So all of them sit at the age where structural pruning either happens or does not.
