Whose Tree Is It
The parkway tree — the strip between the sidewalk and the street — is often owned by the village rather than the property owner, which means removing it is not your call to make. Requirements are not uniform across DuPage: some villages want a contractor registration on file before work starts, some want a permit for anything in the right-of-way, some want neither.
