Dutch elm violations cost $500 for a first offense, $1,000 for a second and $2,500 for a third or later. A separate zoning rule, § 10-9-2, read through the third-party Zoneomics reproduction, requires a tree preservation and removal plan approved in writing by the Zoning Administrator before existing trees come off a lot, but it does not apply to single-unit or two-unit dwellings.
