We refer to ourselves below as “Pro Tree Service,” “we,” “us” and “our.” By using the Site you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the Site.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when we post them here. We will also update the effective date above. Your continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the revised Terms.

Information on This Site Is Not an Arborist’s Opinion
We publish general information about tree care — pruning timing, hazard signs, species problems, storm damage, what work typically costs. We write it to be useful, and we try hard to keep it accurate.
It is not a substitute for an on-site inspection of your particular tree by a qualified arborist. Every tree is different. Condition, species, soil, lean, decay, adjacent structures and utility proximity all change what is safe and appropriate. Do not rely on anything you read here to decide whether a specific tree is safe. The same goes for whether it needs work, or whether you can do that work yourself.
Tree work is dangerous. Removals, climbing, chainsaw operation and any work near power lines carry serious risk of injury and death. We do not encourage you to attempt any of it based on information from this Site. If a tree is in contact with a power line, stay away from it, call 911, and contact your utility.
Estimates, Quotes and Proposals
Nothing on this Site is an offer to perform work at a stated price. Any price, range or example on the Site is illustrative only.
Requesting an estimate through this Site does not create a contract. We perform work only under a written proposal. We prepare that proposal after inspecting the property, and you accept it in writing. The terms of that signed proposal govern the work. Where those terms conflict with anything on this Site, the proposal controls.
Estimates are valid for the period stated on the proposal. Conditions we discover after you accept may require a revised proposal before work continues. Those include hidden decay, access limitations, buried utilities and additional hazards.
Emergency and Storm Response
We answer the phone twenty-four hours a day. That means we will take your call and assess your situation. It does not guarantee a crew will arrive within any particular time.
After a significant storm, demand across the region rises sharply. So we prioritize by hazard rather than by the order calls arrive. Trees on occupied structures come first. We will tell you honestly where you sit rather than promise a time we cannot meet. Nothing on this Site is a guarantee of response time or availability.
Information You Send Us
You may submit a form, send photographs of a tree or property, or otherwise provide information through the Site. When you do, you confirm that you are entitled to share it. You also confirm that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
You grant us permission to use what you send. That covers responding to your request, preparing an estimate and performing work. We may want to use a photograph of your property, or of work we performed, for marketing. We will ask you first.
Please do not send us confidential, sensitive or financial information through the Site’s forms. They are not a secure channel for it.
Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information.
Our Content
The text, photographs, graphics, logo and layout of this Site belong to Pro Tree Service. Where they do not, we use them with permission. Copyright and trademark law protects them.
You may read, print and share pages from the Site for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy our written content onto another website, or republish it. And you may not use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you. The same goes for suggesting any affiliation with you or your business.

Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute relating to this Site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Will County, Illinois. You consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
If Part of These Terms Cannot Be Enforced
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. That provision then applies to the extent it lawfully can.
